Warranty Policy
Ottintl offers a remarkably simple and clear warranty policy on our parts, pre-owned devices, and all other products. Here is a brief overview of our warranty policy for different product types that we offer:
Replacement Parts:
All of the replacement parts that we sell come with a lifetime warranty. This warranty gives our clients the peace of mind that when they are buying our parts, they can rest assured that if there are any issues that occur with the part in the future, they can return the part back to us and it will be covered under warranty. Provided that there is no internal or physical damage to the part. This warranty does not cover any Accidental Damage (damage caused by drops, impacts, improper installation techniques), Misuse (using the product for something other than its intended purpose), and Wear and Tear (natural degradation of materials over time).
Batteries
All of the batteries that we sell come with a one-year warranty. This warranty covers any defects or issues that may occur with the battery within one year of purchase as long as there is no physical damage to the battery.
Tools and Supplies
All of the tools and supplies that we carry come with a 30-day warranty (unless otherwise specified). If there are any manufacturing defects or issues with the tools that are identified within 30 days of purchase, the product can be returned back to us and it will be covered under warranty. The only exception in this case is physical damage to the product or excessive wear and tear that may have caused the defect.
Pre-Owned Devices
All of our pre-owned devices come with a 60-day warranty. This warranty covers any defects or issues that may occur with a pre-owned device within 60 days of purchase. When returning the device for warranty, please ensure to remove any personal data, iCloud information, Google account information, or any other data on the device.
Return Credit:
If any of the above mentioned product types are returned to us and covered under warranty, we will issue a credit to your account based on the current selling price or the purchase price of the product, whichever is lower. You can also request the product to be exchanged and we will cover Ground shipping when shipping the exchanged part for free. Only parts purchased directly from your Ottintl Account are eligible for RMA credit or exchange. Items purchased elsewhere are not eligible for return.
Restocking Fee
Unlike several other suppliers in this industry, we do not charge any restocking fees for returns even if the returned product is used. We want to keep things as streamlined and easy as possible for our clients and give them the peace of mind they expect when doing business with us.
Returning a used product / Not-needed product
With our warranty policy, you can rest assured that if you return a part to us that has been used, has scratches, smudges, or any other signs of wear and tear other than damage, we will cover the part for you. The same principle applies to the parts that are not needed. You can return any Not-Needed parts within the warranty period and receive a credit back on your account without any penalties or restocking fees. This is an additional service we offer to make sure our clients can stay confident when ordering without having to worry about taking any losses with unused parts.
Frequently Asked Question (FAQ’s)
I received a part that looks to be damaged. What should I do?
In a scenario where you receive a part, and dry test it out to find that the part is damaged, please contact us right away and send us images or videos if possible so we can have the records on file. What does Dry Test mean?
Dry Test means testing a product without full installation. For example, if you want to dry test a display assembly, you can plug it in to the device without removing the adhesive tape backing or installing the display assembly into the device. This test ensures that the part is good to install or if there are any issues, the part can be returned without risking any damage during the uninstall process. We highly recommend dry testing all products to avoid running into any issues after installation.
What does Internal Damage mean on display assemblies?
Display assemblies are made of several layers of thin and fragile materials such as the OLED/LCD panel, backlight, polarizer, digitizer, etc. Any of these panels, especially the OLED/LCD panels, can be damaged internally due to drops or pressure. This type of damage is very hard to detect from the outside but there are some signs that identify this type of damage for example lines appearing across the display, dead pixels, black spots, bleed marks, color distortions etc.
How long will it take to process my return?
Generally, it takes about 1-7 business days after receiving your return to process and issue credit to your account.
Can I send multiple returns at the same time?
Yes, you can include all of your returns or buybacks in the same shipment and send it to us together.
Do I need to wait for an authorization before shipping my returns?
No, there is no authorization required to ship your returns to us. You can submit a return request directly through your account and ship the returns to us right after.
How do I submit a return request?
You can submit a return request through the Product Returns / RMA section of your account dashboard. After submitting the request, you will receive an email confirmation with the return request number which starts with PR.
How can I get in touch with the returns department?
You can get in touch with our returns department by either giving us a call at +1(631)2828999 or sending us an email at info@ottintl.com
